There are over 40 heritable and congenital disorders, affecting the boxer.  But there is not breeder screening available for all.  Additionally, of the 40+ disorders, they are not all life limiting and/or threatening.  The list is comprised of 182 more commonly known purebred dogs.  Written in 1994, it has been revised five times, most recently in 2011.

Banjo had her heart assessed via ultrasound at the age of two to rule out aortic stenosis and subaortic stenosis.  Annually, prior to breeding, she wears a 24 hour holter monitor checking for ARVC - cardiomyopathy.  She has had her hips, elbows, and thyroid OFA scored.  We assess kidney function, annually prior to breeding via SDMA (bloodwork).  She is negative for both the DM and HEMAbx mutations.
